This Spring term has been an exciting and enriching time for our Year 2 Owls and Year 2 Robins! Our history focus led us to the Josiah Wedgwood Museum, where we delved into the life and legacy of Josiah Wedgwood. The children enjoyed a fascinating museum visit, participated in a factory tour and even completed a craft activity inspired by Wedgwood's work.

In science, we explored the wonders of the animal kingdom with a visit to Peak Wildlife Park. The children were thrilled to learn about various animals and their habitats, including polar bears, lemurs, meerkats, penguins, alpacas and many more.

Our adventures didn't stop there! We also visited the National Trust Biddulph Grange Gardens, where we closely studied the diverse plants and trees along the well-being path. The children have also loved watching their bean seeds grow over time and planting their own seeds in our school's allotment.

Finally, to celebrate World Book Day, the Owls and Robins created their own book reviews. The Owls reviewed "The Koala Who Could" by Rachel Bright, while the Robins shared their thoughts on "The Troll" written by Julia Donaldson.

It's been a term full of learning, exploration and creativity. We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm and curiosity our Year 2 children have shown throughout these activities.
